The police are currently looking into a shooting that took place on Fort Road around 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12.

Incident Details

Preliminary findings indicate that a 20-year-old male was sitting outside an apartment building in the Barrymore Hotel area when three assailants, clad in dark clothing, approached and discharged several rounds in his direction.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken by police to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he is in stable condition. Investigations are still ongoing.

In the meantime, the police are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to reach out to the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913, visit the nearest police station, or contact Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
