A Cedar Valley Heights man has been remanded into custody following his court appearance on serious firearm and drug-related charges.

Hezekiah Parker Jr. entered a not guilty plea to all charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Tuesday. Legal representation was provided by attorney Sherfield Bowen.

The matter is scheduled to continue tomorrow when Parker returns to court.

The charges originated from a law enforcement operation executed at Parker’s Cedar Valley Heights home in the predawn hours of January 10, 2026. During the search, investigators uncovered an unlicensed Smith & Wesson .380 calibre pistol accompanied by seven rounds of matching ammunition. Officers also seized 100 grams of cannabis from the premises.

Parker now faces three criminal charges: unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of cannabis, and possession with intent to supply controlled substances.
