The Halo Foundation has wrapped up 2025 on a high note following the island-wide distribution of anti-bullying and conflict-resolution resources to schools across Antigua and Barbuda.
The initiative reached 34 primary and secondary schools, with the distribution led by Bolinda Baptiste and Cuthbert Forbes, as part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to youth development, violence prevention, and the promotion of safe learning environments.
The exercise forms part of the Halo Foundation’s national anti-bullying campaign, launched in 2018, which focuses on proactively addressing youth violence while encouraging empathy, respect, and inclusivity among students.

President of the Foundation, Her Excellency Lady Williams, said the year-end initiative reflects the organisation’s long-standing belief that education is key to prevention.
“Since launching our anti-bullying campaign, we have remained committed to creating wholesome, more compassionate spaces for our young people,” Lady Williams said. “Prevention begins with education, and when schools are properly equipped, students are better empowered to resolve conflict with empathy and respect.”
During visits to the schools, the Halo Foundation team was warmly received by administrators, including principals, counsellors, and librarians, many of whom expressed appreciation for the donated materials. Several noted that the resources will play an important role in supporting emotional literacy, positive peer interaction, and peaceful conflict resolution among students.
“The feedback from schools reaffirmed why this work matters,” said Bolinda Baptiste. “By equipping educators and students with practical tools, we are helping to foster empathy, communication, and peaceful problem-solving from an early age.”

In total, the distribution covered 22 primary schools, 12 secondary schools, and the Public Library, ensuring broad access to age-appropriate materials designed to encourage dialogue, understanding, and respectful engagement.
Since its inception, the Halo Foundation’s anti-bullying campaign has continued to focus on early intervention, education, and community collaboration, reinforcing the organisation’s belief that lasting change begins with consistent support for young people and the institutions that serve them.

Anti-bullying work doesn’t get enough attention, but it shapes the future of our society.
