The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force has announced it will conduct a night live-fire exercise this Friday, January 23, that may produce loud explosive sounds audible to nearby residents.

The military training exercise is scheduled to run from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Camp Blizzard, according to a public notice issued by the Defence Force.

Residents living in surrounding areas are being advised not to be alarmed if they hear loud explosive sounds during the eight-hour training period. Defence Force officials emphasized that all safety protocols will be strictly enforced throughout the exercise.

The nighttime training represents part of the Defence Force’s ongoing efforts to maintain operational readiness and professional standards.
