Drainage Works Trigger Detour in Hodges Bay

Motorists travelling through Hodges Bay are being advised to make alternative arrangements as drainage works get underway in the area.

Road authorities say construction is currently progressing on a swale drain in the vicinity of Matthias Drive, just after Breeze Pointe Apartments when travelling south. The works have resulted in temporary traffic disruptions along the affected stretch of road.

As a result, motorists are being encouraged to detour via Matthias Drive or use alternative routes to reach their destinations.

Officials have thanked the public for their patience and cooperation, noting that the project forms part of ongoing efforts to improve road and drainage infrastructure nationwide. Drivers are urged to exercise caution and adhere to posted signage while the works continue.
