Antigua and Barbuda will be proudly represented on the regional stage when Queen Kia, Ms. Kia Kirwan, competes in the Miss OECS Pageant scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2026, in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The Miss OECS Pageant is a premier regional competition that brings together delegates from across the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, celebrating beauty, intellect, cultural pride, and regional unity. The event also serves as a platform for young women to act as cultural ambassadors for their countries, promoting confidence, leadership, and empowerment.

Queen Kia’s participation reflects Antigua and Barbuda’s ongoing commitment to uplifting young women and showcasing national talent within the OECS.

Chairperson of the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC), Ambassador Elizabeth Makhoul, praised Queen Kia’s representation and reaffirmed the Commission’s support.

“The Commission commends Queen Kia for her dedication, poise, and passion. She truly embodies the vibrant spirit and cultural richness of Antigua and Barbuda,” Makhoul said.

“We are pleased to pledge our full support as she represents our nation with confidence, grace, and distinction.”

Minister of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, Daryll S. Matthew, also offered strong words of encouragement, describing Queen Kia as an exemplary national ambassador.

“Queen Kia’s participation in the Miss OECS Pageant is both a personal milestone and a proud moment for Antigua and Barbuda,” the minister noted. “She represents the talent, creativity, and cultural identity that continue to define our country across the region.”

As anticipation builds ahead of pageant night, the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission is encouraging citizens and supporters at home and abroad to rally behind Queen Kia, reminding her that “268” stands firmly with her as she takes the OECS stage in a celebration of beauty, unity, and empowerment.
