Crabbs Reverse Osmosis Plant
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has advised residents across multiple communities that planned maintenance will be carried out at the Crabbs Reverse Osmosis Plant, which is expected to result in temporary water service disruptions.
According to a maintenance notice issued on Monday, January 26, the APUA Water Business Unit will conduct work on the facility’s storage tank on Tuesday, January 27, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The maintenance exercise is expected to last approximately 10 hours, with completion projected around 6:00 p.m. the same day.
During the maintenance period, customers may experience brief service interruptions, shorter distribution periods, or reduced water pressure during normal distribution hours. APUA indicated that while the water network will become operational from as early as 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, customers in elevated areas may experience delays as the system fully recharges.
Areas expected to be affected include Weirs, North Sound, Gunthorpes, Fitches Creek, Pigotts, Paynters Housing Project, Paynters East, Lightfoot East and West, Herberts Main Road, Sea View Farm, Potters East, Bellview Estate, Bayview, Herberts, Renfrew and Ferris Farm.
Additional communities listed are Parham, Vernons Development, Diamond Estate, Pares, Mount Joy, Jonas Road, All Saints, Mock Pond, Freemans Village and the northern section of Roman Hill. Other affected locations include Old Parham Road from Paint Plus, Cassada Gardens Phases 1, 2 and 3, Skerritts Pasture, Sutherlands, Carnival Gardens, the Government Office Complex, Sir Sydney Walling Highway from the Potters junction to the St. John’s Fire Station, Friars Hill Road east from Village Walk to Government House, Upper Gambles, Campsite, Clare Hall and Wireless Road.
APUA has thanked customers for their patience and understanding as these essential works are carried out and is encouraging residents to make the necessary preparations ahead of the maintenance. For further information or updates, customers are advised to contact the APUA Support Centre at 211.

I hope APUA pay for that advertistment
