Police Arrest One Man in Connection with Alleged Aggravated Robbery

Authorities have apprehended a man who is currently aiding in the investigations regarding an alleged aggravated robbery that took place in the Gunthorpes area on Monday, January 26.

Incident Details

  • Reports suggest that at approximately 8:00 a.m., two male suspects entered a local business establishment.

  • The suspects allegedly brandished a knife to rob the proprietor of a knapsack containing cash and various personal documents.

  • Following the incident, the suspects reportedly fled the scene, although the stolen bag was later recovered.

Investigation Updates

  • On Tuesday, January 27, police executed multiple search warrants across several locations in St. John’s as part of the ongoing inquiry.

  • One man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and is now in custody.
