The Antigua and Barbuda Nurses Association (ABNA) has announced that it will convene its next General Meeting alongside the election of executive officers for the 2026–2028 term.
According to an official notice issued by the Association, the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., and will take place at the Nurses Headquarters on Queen Elizabeth Highway, St. John’s.
The elections will determine officers who will serve on ABNA’s Executive for the upcoming two-year term, a process the Association has described as critical to the continued leadership and representation of nurses across Antigua and Barbuda.
ABNA has reminded its membership that only financial members will be eligible to vote at the election. However, members who have outstanding dues are encouraged to settle their payments at the Association’s headquarters during office hours ahead of the meeting in order to qualify.
In its notice, the Association emphasized the importance of strong participation, urging members to attend and lend their support to what it described as a “very important meeting” for the organization’s future direction.
The notice was signed by Laurellyn Williams, President of the Antigua and Barbuda Nurses Association.
Members seeking additional information may contact ABNA at its headquarters or via email at [email protected].

ABNA has an opportunity here to foster more engagement and dialogue. Elections are important, but so is ongoing communication between leadership and rank-and-file members
Strong participation now can set the tone for the next two years. It’s not just about voting, it’s about shaping the future of nursing in the country.
This is also a reminder for all nurses to keep their membership current. It strengthens both individual voices and the Association as a whole
This is more an announcement than a news item
