Tevin Willock of Green Bay

Tevin Willock from Green Bay has received a sentence of seven (7) months at His Majesty’s Prison after admitting guilt to the charges of Escaping Lawful Custody and Malicious Damage.

Willock appeared before Magistrate Mighty at the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, January 27, where he pleaded guilty to both offenses.

He was sentenced to six (6) months for Escaping Lawful Custody and one (1) month for Malicious Damage, with the sentences to be served consecutively.

The court was informed that Willock had escaped from the St. John’s Police Station and was on the run.

As a result, the police issued a wanted bulletin and conducted focused operations to find him.

Willock was ultimately apprehended during an operation in the Gray’s Farm area and taken into custody.

The Police Administration expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the community for their ongoing cooperation and support, which are essential to the Force’s crime-fighting initiatives and the preservation of public safety.

  4. Seven months may not sound like a long time, but escaping lawful custody is a serious offence. At least this case moved quickly once he was caught.

  5. The real issue here is how someone managed to escape from a police station in the first place. That needs to be addressed
