Reckless driving continues to pose a serious danger on the nation’s roads, and a recently circulated dashcam video has reignited concerns about risky driving behaviour and its potentially deadly consequences.

The video, now making rounds on social media, shows the driver of a white Mazda CX-5 travelling east on All Saints Road overtaking another vehicle around the LICs Limited curve, an area known to motorists for its limited visibility and heightened risk.

As the driver pulls out to pass, an oncoming westbound vehicle suddenly comes into view, forcing a near head-on collision. Only a split-second reaction prevented what could have been a major crash, drawing alarmed reactions from viewers online.

While traffic accidents are frequently shared after they occur, the underlying causes are often left unexamined. Dashcam footage, however, continues to provide clear insight into the reckless decisions that lead to many of these incidents, exposing dangerous overtaking, impatience, and disregard for road conditions.

Motorists and road safety advocates have pointed out that curves and blind spots require extra caution, warning that overtaking in such areas significantly increases the likelihood of fatal accidents. Many have also called for stronger enforcement and greater accountability for drivers who engage in such behaviour.

Authorities continue to urge drivers to exercise patience, obey traffic laws, and prioritize safety over haste. As this video demonstrates, a single reckless move can place multiple lives at risk, serving as a sobering reminder that dangerous driving remains a persistent and preventable problem on the country’s roads.

  1. Only one vehicle? That’s rare. I usually see cars overtaking 4 in a row!!!

  2. If there are no police patrols anywhere to be found this will continue. No officers to assist with traffic build up at junctions or with the amount of violations.

    • What about those vehicles that are running an overtaking without backlights? Plus no indicator just doing some reckless things.

  3. The police need to stop urging people to act right on the roads and enforce the consequences!!
Going home last night after taking my child hospital and slowed to make a right turn but the car behind me was over taking me while also being overtaken by the car behind it. I could only stand and wait for them to pass
