The Armstrong Commissiong Family Foundation (ACFF) has announced the launch of its 2026 Howard University Caribbean Student Scholarship, aimed at supporting Caribbean nationals studying at Howard University who are facing financial challenges while pursuing their academic goals in the United States.

The scholarship is open to Caribbean students on F-1 visas who are currently enrolled at Howard University as sophomores, juniors, or seniors. It is specifically designed to ease financial pressures, allowing recipients to remain focused on their studies and continue progressing toward their academic and professional aspirations.

Since its inception, Armstrong Commissiong Family Foundation has contributed more than US$350,000 to Howard University in support of a range of academic initiatives. The 2026 scholarship continues the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to expanding access to education and investing in students from historically underrepresented communities.

Applicants are required to submit academic information along with a brief statement outlining their financial need and personal educational journey. According to the Foundation, this approach allows for a deeper understanding of each student’s circumstances and ensures support is directed where it is most needed.

“Our family has deep ties to the Bison legacy, and as we proudly honour our Trinidad and Tobago heritage, I firmly believe education remains one of the most powerful tools for creating opportunity and driving long-term change,” said Nicole Commissiong, Executive Director of the ACFF. “Through this scholarship programme, we are honoured to support Caribbean students who are pursuing their academic goals with determination, focus, innovation, and excellence.”

The Foundation says the scholarship underscores its broader mission to nurture talent, celebrate achievement, and empower the next generation of Caribbean leaders to make a meaningful and lasting impact in their communities and beyond.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, 25th, 2026. Additional details and application information are available at www.acfamilyfoundation.org/howard-scholarship-application.
