The Census Office is once again urging residents across Antigua and Barbuda to cooperate with field officers as the 2025 Population and Housing Census continues nationwide.
Officials say the exercise remains one of the most important data-gathering initiatives undertaken by the country, forming the backbone of national planning and decision-making. Information collected during the census helps guide policies and investments in critical sectors including healthcare, education, housing, employment, transportation, and public infrastructure.
According to census authorities, complete and accurate participation ensures that communities receive fair representation and that government resources are distributed based on reliable, up-to-date statistics.
Residents are reminded that participation in the census is required by law. Trained enumerators are currently visiting households throughout Antigua and Barbuda to conduct interviews, and members of the public are being encouraged to provide truthful and comprehensive information when approached.
The Census Office also reassured the public that all responses are protected under strict confidentiality provisions. Data collected will be used solely for statistical analysis and national planning purposes, and individual information will not be disclosed to any third party.
Officials expressed gratitude to those who have already taken part in the exercise and appealed to anyone who has not yet been counted to cooperate when contacted. They stressed that widespread public participation is essential to ensuring that every individual and household is properly reflected in the national data.
For additional information, or to verify the identity of a census fieldworker, residents may contact the Census Office at 562-7495, 562-7492, or 462-4775.

I find they moving rather slow. How big is their team cause it’s been months since they started and they yet to get to me and I live in town
