Prime Minister Mia Mottley celebrates her victory
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has congratulated Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley following her party’s commanding victory in Wednesday’s General Election, which resulted in a clean sweep of all 30 seats in the House of Assembly.
In a message posted to Facebook shortly after the results were confirmed, Browne praised Mottley’s leadership and the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) decisive win at the polls.

“Congratulations to my sistren Mia on a resounding win; an unprecedented clean sweep threepeat,” Browne wrote.
He added a brief but pointed postscript: “Ps. Yellow is the code,” a nod to the BLP’s party colour, as celebrations unfolded across Barbados.
The 30-0 result leaves the opposition without parliamentary representation and further cements Mottley’s political dominance in Barbados. The victory marks another emphatic mandate for the BLP under her leadership, reinforcing her standing both domestically and across the Caribbean.

Congratulations aunty Mia. Well done
