Drainage and Beautification Works Underway in Paynters West
Residents of Paynters West are seeing visible improvements in their community as drainage clearing, bush cutting and general beautification works move ahead, with road repairs expected to follow in the coming weeks.
Senator Michael Freeland said the initiative forms part of a continued effort to enhance infrastructure and improve environmental conditions within the constituency. Work crews have been actively clearing clogged drains, removing overgrown vegetation and preparing sections of roadway for upcoming rehabilitation.

The improvements are aimed at addressing long-standing concerns related to flooding, road safety and general upkeep, particularly during the rainy season when blocked drains can create significant challenges for residents.
Freeland thanked community members for their patience and cooperation as the work progresses, acknowledging that temporary inconveniences are sometimes necessary to achieve lasting improvements.

He also expressed gratitude to Hon. Maria Browne and the Ministry of Works team for facilitating the project and providing the necessary resources to advance the upgrades.
