Guns Seized and Two Held After Late-Night Police Operation

Late Monday night, authorities apprehended two individuals after executing a search warrant at a residence in the Mc Pond area.

At around 10:45 p.m. on February 16, 2026, officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Task Force carried out the search.

During the operation, they uncovered and confiscated the following items:

  • Two (2) 9mm pistols

  • Four (4) magazines

  • One (1) weapon holster

  • One (1) speed loader

  • A quantity of 9mm rounds of ammunition

A 31-year-old male and a 25-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, and are currently in custody as investigations continue.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda remains committed to enhancing efforts to remove illegal firearms and ammunition from the community to ensure public safety.

The police invite anyone with information regarding illegal firearms or suspicious activities to reach out to the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously at 800-TIPS (8477).

  1. SMFH Lets see if this will be a repeat of the matter in which the father pleaded guilty to owning the firearms but the prosecutor still decided to peruse the case against the mother and now they both lock up and a baby growing up without its parents
