Gregson Hixon tragically passed away following a traffic accident in Pares
Dear Editor,
Like many residents of Grays Farm, I read the report about the tragic accident on Pares Main Road that claimed the life of 47-year-old Gregson Hixon and I must say, the details left my head spinning.
The sequence of events reads almost like a scene from a movie: a driver swerves to avoid an animal near Welch’s Supermarket, strikes a sidewalk on one side of the road, then somehow veers across to the opposite side, crashes into a large stone, overturns, and the vehicle bursts into flames. It is difficult to visualize how all of this unfolded in such a short stretch of roadway.

Gregson Hixon
We are not questioning the professionalism of the police or first responders. In fact, we commend the Fire Department and EMS personnel who worked courageously to rescue the occupants from the burning wreckage. But as grieving residents trying to process what happened, we are left struggling to make sense of the chain of events.
Was speed a factor? Was visibility poor? How exactly did the vehicle cross from the southern sidewalk to the northern side of the road? These are the kinds of questions circulating in our community.
Grays Farm is mourning. Gregson was not just a name in a report — he was someone’s family member, someone’s friend, someone known in our community. The shock of such a fiery and dramatic crash has left many of us unsettled.
We respectfully ask for clearer explanations as the investigation continues. Not out of morbid curiosity, but because understanding what happened may help bring some measure of closure — and perhaps prevent something similar from happening again.
Our condolences go out to his loved ones during this painful time. Grays Farm stands in sorrow.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Resident

I can say this much in 2006 I met in an accident on that same road where the first speed bump were and a pamp post was at the right-hand side of the road. Coming from willikes, going to town on our way down the driver was driving normal, and when he went over the speed bump, the vehicle developed speed and bam right into the lamppost on the right. Luckily, I was wearing a seat belt, so I didn’t go forward, but I ended up in the hospital because of the damage from the seat belt. What I’m trying to say here is that I believe that something is on that road that is causing or needing life. Too many times accident happened right at that same spot, and there is no understanding to how it happen and the vehicle was written off. Goat lucky at work if you know, you know. And when asked the driver said he saw a donkey going across the road and he served from the donkey, I wasn’t sleeping, my eyes were wide open and there were no donkey visible to the eyes and persons that normally meet in accident there, keep saying there is an animal that goes across the road that they would serve from. I guess drivers need to hit that donkey and stop surfing and then lives will save.
So there is some evil spirit or demonic activity at work on this road. This is serious if that is the case
It was the mans time to die. Stop with the nonesence
Some things people cannot explain and that accident is one of them
Thats some creepy stuff i just read but indeed everyone was kinda wondering how the accident happened based on what the police report said
some blame should be taken. looking for something or someone else to put the blame on is wrong. he could hve been the cause of his own death by not practicing road safety.
