Fear has begun to ripple across Antigua and Barbuda’s fishing community following a deadly United States missile strike in regional waters that destroyed a vessel near Canouan and left Caribbean nationals dead.

Along Antigua’s docks and harbours, fishermen are asking a sobering question: if a small Caribbean fishing boat can be mistaken for a criminal target, who among them is truly safe at sea?

  6. well the Caribbean governments are not speaking out as their citizens are being murdered. Not one of them has a thing to say. A bunch of cowards. There are hundreds of international organizations where they can voice their concerns… but not a peep is being heard.
