The Botantical Gardens are packed this International Women’s Day weekend as hundreds of Antiguans dressed in orange gathered for the Men & Women United 2026: Stop Gender-Based Violence 5K Walk, organised by Integrated Health Outreach (IHO) in partnership with the Directorate of Gender Affairs.

Now in its third year, the walk continues to grow.

Participants’ shirts carry a clear message: “A Shelter Is A Must” — reflecting IHO’s ongoing push for the establishment of a dedicated safe house for women experiencing violence in Antigua and Barbuda.

Sponsor FLOW is also on the ground supporting the event.
