Road Work Updates: Single-Lane Traffic Continues on Major Routes

he Ministry of Works’ Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU) informs the public that single-lane traffic will remain in effect to facilitate ongoing infrastructure repairs on major roads.

  • Valley Road North: Road markings, guardrail adjustments, concrete, and drainage works around Jennings, Bolans, Jolly Harbour, and Sugar Ridge will continue daily, starting at approximately 8:00 a.m.

 

  • Sir Sydney Walling Highway: Guardrail installations, road markings, asphalt, and repairs to junctions and shoulders in the area west of Glanvilles will proceed daily, beginning at around 8:00 a.m.

 

  • Old Parham Road: Road markings, concrete, and drainage works will also carry on daily, starting at approximately 8:00 a.m.

 

Flag persons will be on-site, and motorists are urged to adhere to all instructions to ensure a safe passage, as heavy-duty equipment will be in operation near the work zones.

All businesses remain open.

C.O. Williams Ltd. sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience. This road work is part of the Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project being undertaken by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

Stakeholders are encouraged to adjust their travel plans to accommodate potential delays.
