The family and loved ones of Nikisha Rochelle Rose are preparing to say their final goodbyes on April 9th as arrangements have been announced for her homegoing service following her tragic shooting death earlier this year.
Rose, who was born on May 8, 1980, died on January 23, 2026, after she was reportedly shot during an incident that shocked her community and left relatives and friends grieving her sudden loss.
Her death has been described by those close to her as a heartbreaking tragedy that cut short the life of a woman remembered for her strength, warmth, and love for family.
In the weeks following the incident, relatives and friends have continued to call for answers and justice surrounding the circumstances of the fatal shooting.
Investigations into the incident were launched after the shooting.
Rose’s life will be celebrated during a Homegoing Service scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Tindale Seventh-day Adventist Church on Tindale Road in St. John’s.
Prior to the service, a viewing will be held at Straffie’s Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the same day, giving family members, friends, and members of the public an opportunity to pay their respects.
Those who knew her describe Rose as someone who left a lasting impression on the lives she touched.
