Anthony Smith All But Confirms ABLP Run as Campaign Machine Kicks Into Gear

A new promotional push tied to voter registration efforts in All Saints West appears to further confirm that Anthony Smith is set to contest the upcoming general election on the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) ticket.

The graphic, branded with ABLP colours and messaging, features Smith encouraging residents to “Get Ready” by updating their voter identification, while outlining required documents and registration details for the All Saints unit.

Smith, who currently serves as Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and the Blue Economy, has long been expected to formalize his alignment with the ruling party after breaking from the United Progressive Party in 2024.

While there has been no official written confirmation of his membership to the ABLP, the latest campaign-style material strongly signals that his candidacy is now all but certain as the country moves closer to general elections.
