Star Seeker Makes Inaugural Call to Antigua This Sunday
Antigua and Barbuda is set to welcome a new addition to the luxury cruise market this weekend as Star Seeker, a 224-guest, all-suite yacht operated by Windstar Cruises, makes her inaugural call to the destination.
The vessel, which was officially launched in December 2025, will arrive in St. John’s on Sunday, March 29, at 10:00 a.m., marking a significant milestone in her first-ever sailing season.
A plaque exchange ceremony is scheduled to take place during the visit, a longstanding maritime tradition that commemorates a ship’s maiden call to a port. The event is expected to bring together key tourism officials, port representatives, and ship executives to formally welcome the vessel to Antigua and Barbuda.
Star Seeker represents Windstar Cruises’ continued expansion into the small-ship luxury market, offering an intimate, all-suite experience designed for upscale travellers seeking personalized service and unique itineraries.
The yacht’s visit underscores Antigua and Barbuda’s growing appeal as a premier yachting and cruise destination in the Caribbean, particularly among boutique and luxury cruise lines.
Sunday’s inaugural call is expected to generate excitement within the tourism sector, as stakeholders continue efforts to attract high-value visitors and strengthen the country’s position on the global cruise map.
