Stabbed OCS Student Makes Return to School After Near-Death Experience

The 16-year-old student who was seriously injured in a stabbing at the West Bus Station is now back at school.
Jakeem Benjamin, a student of Ottos Comprehensive School, has returned to classes after receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds sustained during the February 27 altercation at the busy transportation hub.

Police say the teen suffered several puncture wounds to the left side of his abdomen and was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he underwent emergency medical care. While his injuries were initially described as serious, he has since made steady progress and is said to be doing well.

A 16-year-old boy from Bendals was taken into custody shortly after the incident.

Investigations remain ongoing.

  1. These days its so scary having to deal with children bullying your children. A student hit my child and told him he didn’t like the way he was looking at him. I wish I could home school them all.
