Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM) leader Trevor Walker has reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Barbuda as he formally launches his election campaign, pledging continued service rooted in trust, accountability, and advocacy for the island’s interests.
In a campaign message, Walker described Barbudans as a people defined by strength, resilience, and unity, noting that his leadership has consistently stood alongside the community during challenging times. He pointed to his track record as evidence of his dedication to protecting Barbudan rights and ensuring that the voices of residents remain central in national decision-making.
Walker emphasized that his approach to leadership has been guided by integrity and a refusal to compromise on issues affecting the island’s heritage and livelihoods. He contrasted this with what he described as others who have placed personal interests ahead of the people.
As the election approaches, Walker is urging Barbudans to support the Barbuda People’s Movement, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the island’s cultural legacy and maintaining a strong, independent voice in Parliament.
He said the upcoming vote represents an opportunity for constituents to choose leadership that has remained consistent in its advocacy for Barbuda, while reinforcing the party’s long-standing position as a defender of the island’s people and their rights.
