The United Progressive Party (UPP) is reinforcing its campaign message of service-driven leadership, declaring that government must work in the best interest of the people.
In a statement, the party said it is prepared to offer what it describes as a team of “servant leaders” committed to putting citizens first, rather than pursuing power or status. The UPP emphasized that its approach to governance is rooted in listening, engagement, and delivering tangible opportunities for communities across Antigua and Barbuda.
“This is not about titles or power, but about purpose,” the party stated, underscoring its belief that leadership should be grounded in integrity, humility, and a genuine commitment to national development.
Central to its message is the slogan “Government Must Work for You,” which the party says reflects its broader vision of accountability and people-focused governance.
The UPP also highlighted its candidate for the St. Paul constituency, Franz DeFreitas, describing him as part of a wider slate ready to deliver “meaningful results” through responsive and inclusive leadership.
According to the party, its vision is anchored in strengthening national unity, advancing development, and ensuring that citizens benefit directly from government policies and actions.
As the election season intensifies, the UPP says it remains focused on presenting itself as a viable alternative, guided by the principle that effective leadership is measured by service to the people.

Franz will have absolutely no impact in St. Paul and neither will any other UPP candidate
