The UPP is taking a faith-centered approach to kick off its 2026 general election campaign, with a launch event scheduled for Sunday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at “Knuckle Block” in Grays Farm.
The event will blend politics with spirituality, featuring gospel elements and a message of national renewal under the theme “Government Must Work For You!”—a slogan the party is using to connect with voters ahead of the polls.
Gospel artiste Bridget Blucher is expected to headline the evening’s activities, as organizers aim to create an atmosphere of inspiration, reflection, and unity as the party formally enters the campaign season.
The launch comes amid increasing political activity across Antigua and Barbuda, with both major parties mobilizing supporters, opening campaign offices, and engaging voters at the constituency level.
The UPP’s decision to center its launch around prayer and praise signals an attempt to strike an emotional and cultural chord with the electorate, while reinforcing its message of people-focused governance.
