New booster station in Tyrells

The APUA Water Business Unit is nearing completion of a new booster station in Tyrells, with commissioning expected to be finalised this week.

The infrastructure upgrade is aimed at enhancing the hydraulic movement of water throughout the distribution network, a move officials say will significantly improve reliability, particularly in elevated communities that have long faced inconsistent supply.

Residents in Liberta—including those living in Green Hill, Evergreen Tree Road, Horsford Hill, and nearby areas—are expected to benefit directly from the development.

Once fully operational, the booster station should deliver stronger water pressure and a more consistent flow to households.

The project forms part of ongoing efforts by APUA to strengthen the island’s water distribution system and address long-standing challenges affecting higher elevation communities.

  1. It’s best Antigua and Barbuda have elections every year… never see the country infrastructures get so much attention in such short period.
