Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate Kendra Beazer has taken direct aim at his political opponent, arguing that Barbuda has seen little tangible progress despite years of representation.
Addressing supporters during his campaign launch, Beazer suggested that long-standing leadership has failed to deliver meaningful results for the island.
He claimed that after thousands of days in government, there is “nothing substantial” to show for the people of Barbuda.
“This is your time now to stand up and be counted,” Beazer told the crowd, urging residents to demand better.
Beazer framed the upcoming general election as a turning point, calling on Barbudans to “take back” their representation and push for leadership that prioritizes their needs.
Central to his message was the idea that Barbuda requires focused advocacy at the national level, particularly within Cabinet.
“We are going to send somebody to speak on the issues of Barbuda,” he said, adding that the island’s concerns must no longer be overlooked.
He encouraged unity among supporters, calling on “reds and friends” to stand together in what he described as a movement for the future of Barbuda.
“This fight is for each and every one of you who call Barbuda home,” Beazer said.
