UPP to Launch 2026 Manifesto and Campaign Website at Midday Today
The United Progressive Party (UPP) is set to officially unveil its Election 2026 manifesto and launch a new campaign website at midday today, April 25, marking a key moment in the party’s push ahead of the April 30 general election.
In a press statement issued this morning, the party confirmed that the manifesto, titled Manifesto 2026, will be revealed alongside its new digital platform, myupp.org, which is expected to serve as a central hub for campaign information and voter engagement.
Political Leader Jamale Pringle said the manifesto reflects direct input from the public, noting that despite the short timeline between the announcement of elections and Nomination Day, the party made a deliberate effort to consult widely.
According to Pringle, candidates engaged citizens across communities, gathering concerns and proposals which were then reviewed and distilled into policies aimed at improving economic conditions and quality of life.
“Out of these submissions, the UPP selected those that would have the most positive impact on the economy and the People’s quality of life and were most achievable,” the statement said.
The party added that several of the proposed initiatives are designed to address the rising cost of living, with additional relief measures outlined in the manifesto.
Meanwhile, the newly launched website will feature detailed information on UPP candidates, the party’s history, and resources for voters, including access to voter lists and guidance on the voting process.
Campaign Director Chester Hughes expressed confidence in the party’s platform, stating that the policies presented are intended to “lift the People and the Country and bring the sunshine back to Government.”
The launch comes as political parties intensify campaigning in the final days before voters head to the polls on April 30.
