Newly elected Member of Parliament for St Philip South and Minister of State in the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, Kiz Johnson says her appointment is a natural extension of the advocacy work she began as an independent senator in January 2023.

Johnson, who alongside Minister of Works and Housing Maria Browne becomes the second woman currently sitting in the House of Representatives, told Antigua.News her priorities include securing shelter for homeless residents, establishing a dedicated home for runaway teenagers, and expanding the Housing Assistance Programme Initiative (HAPI) across communities in Antigua and Barbuda.
