Antigua and Barbuda Ranked Among Caribbean’s Most Powerful Passports in 2026

Antigua and Barbuda has been ranked among the Caribbean’s most powerful passports for 2026, placing fourth overall in a regional mobility ranking that highlights the growing global strength of Caribbean travel documents.

According to estimates shared by Caribbean lifestyle platform Beauté Caraïbe, holders of an Antiguan and Barbudan passport enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to approximately 154 destinations worldwide, reinforcing the country’s strong international travel standing.

The ranking places Antigua and Barbuda behind only Barbados, the Bahamas, and St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean region. The country’s continued high placement has also been linked to the strength and popularity of its Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme, which remains one of the most internationally recognized in the region.

Barbados topped the 2026 list with access to an estimated 162 destinations, while the Bahamas followed with approximately 158 destinations. St. Kitts and Nevis secured third position with access ranging between 148 and 155 destinations.

Antigua and Barbuda’s passport strength reflects the country’s extensive diplomatic relationships and visa-waiver agreements across Europe, the United Kingdom, and parts of Asia and the Americas.

Other Caribbean nations featured in the top 10 include Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, and Jamaica.

The report also noted that Caribbean passports continue to attract global attention because of their relatively strong mobility benefits, particularly for travellers seeking easier access to Europe and other major destinations.

Several Eastern Caribbean nations included on the list also operate Citizenship by Investment programmes, which have become increasingly competitive in recent years as governments seek to attract foreign direct investment through economic citizenship initiatives.
