The latest 2025 global passport rankings have revealed growing influence, according to Times Caribbean Online.

The newly released data shows Barbados maintaining its dominant position with its passport providing access to 165 countries worldwide through visa-free or visa-on-arrival arrangements.

The Bahamas secured second place in the regional standings, with its citizens enjoying access to 161 countries. In a notable tie for third position, both St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Vincent & the Grenadines offer their passport holders entry to 157 nations.

Antigua & Barbuda rounds out the top five with access to 153 countries, while Trinidad & Tobago follows closely with 152 countries. The data indicates a clear divide between the Eastern Caribbean states and other regional territories, with Jamaica and Guyana placing significantly lower in the rankings at 89 and 92 countries respectively.

The complete regional rankings are:

Barbados (165)

The Bahamas (161)

St. Kitts & Nevis (157)

St. Vincent & the Grenadines (157)

Antigua & Barbuda (153)

Trinidad & Tobago (152)

Grenada (148)

St. Lucia (148)

Dominica (145)

Belize (103)

Guyana (92)

Jamaica (89)

These rankings reflect broader regional trends in diplomatic relations and economic development, with several Eastern Caribbean nations benefiting from strategic international partnerships and citizenship investment programs.

    • With all the natural resources Jamaica and Guyana have, their passports are poorly recognized. The blood of evil and witness flow among the people in those two Caribbean Islands, and follow them wherever they migrate, too. I am surprised that St Vincent and Grenadines rank this high with their passport. I was looking for Antigua and Barbuda 🇦🇬 to be behind Barbados at second place.

  2. My concern is that why is it still difficult for people with Antiguan passports to travel to some key places?
