The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission has announced the temporary closure of two of its registration units for the remainder of the day, following a disruption in the water supply at both locations.
The affected offices are the Central Registration Unit, located at the former Peace Corps Building opposite the John E. St. Luce Financial Centre, and the St. John’s Rural East Registration Unit, situated opposite the Lion’s Den.
The closures impact constituents in St. Peter, St. John’s City East, St. John’s City South, and St. John’s Rural East.
According to the Commission, the decision was taken after both facilities were left without running water, making it impossible to continue normal operations.
ABEC said services will resume once the issue is resolved and water supply is restored.
The Commission has apologised for the inconvenience caused to affected members of the public.
