The  Antigua and Barbuda Public Utilities Authority has issued an apology to the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC), its staff, and members of the public following water supply disruptions that affected registration centres and interrupted services.

In a statement released Thursday, APUA acknowledged the inconvenience caused, particularly for individuals attempting to access important public services at the affected locations.

The Water Business Unit said it continues to face daily distribution challenges across its network and is currently reviewing operational systems aimed at improving and balancing water flow across communities and service areas.

According to the utility company, teams are now working to restore and improve water service in the affected areas to allow normal operations to resume as quickly as possible.

APUA also acknowledged growing frustration among customers experiencing repeated service interruptions, saying efforts remain underway to strengthen the reliability and consistency of the water distribution network.
