Could ‘Satan’ Be in Antigua? Jamaica Issues Regional Alert for Armed Fugitive Wanted in Triple Shooting Case

Jamoy ‘Satan’ Johnson

Authorities in Jamaica have issued a public alert for a man known by the chilling street name “Satan” and concerns are now emerging over whether the wanted fugitive could have slipped beyond Jamaica’s borders and potentially entered another Caribbean territory, including Antigua and Barbuda.

Jamaican police have identified the man as Jamoy Johnson, who is reportedly wanted on three counts of shooting with intent. Law enforcement officials have described him as armed and dangerous and are urging members of the public not to approach him if spotted.

According to the wanted notice, Johnson is known to frequent communities in St. James and Hanover, but investigators are reportedly exploring the possibility that he may have left Jamaica illegally in an attempt to evade capture.

That possibility is raising broader regional questions. Given the movement of people throughout the Caribbean by air and sea, and longstanding concerns surrounding illegal migration routes, attention has turned to whether neighboring islands, including Antigua and Barbuda, should remain vigilant.

No information has surfaced suggesting Johnson has entered Antigua and Barbuda, and local authorities have made no public statements linking him to the country. However, the prospect of a man nicknamed “Satan” quietly appearing on an island known for beaches rather than fugitives is likely to turn heads.

Regional law enforcement agencies routinely cooperate in tracking wanted individuals, particularly where there are concerns suspects may attempt to cross borders undetected.

Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is being urged to contact Jamaican authorities.

For now, authorities continue the search, while Caribbean residents may be hoping that “Satan” stays far from their shores.
