Preparations for Antigua Carnival 2026 are gaining momentum as Minister of Sports and Creative Industries, Dwayne George, met Friday with members of the Festival Team and the Festivals Commission to advance planning for the country’s premier cultural celebration.
The high-level meeting focused on strengthening the vision for this year’s festivities while ensuring the necessary systems, structures and coordination are put in place to deliver what officials hope will be a standout Carnival season.
Discussions centered on organization, innovation, collaboration and enhancing the overall experience for patrons, visitors, artistes, vendors and other stakeholders involved in the annual festival.
Minister George emphasized the importance of teamwork and national unity as Antigua and Barbuda prepares to host one of the Caribbean’s major cultural showcases.
He said the goal is to stage a safe, vibrant and energetic festival that highlights the nation’s music, creativity, culture and talent while creating memorable experiences for both residents and visitors.
