His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams boarded the Indian Naval Ship Sudarshini on Thursday, marking a significant moment in the ongoing diplomatic relationship between Antigua and Barbuda and India.

The courtesy call took place during the vessel’s official visit to the country, with the Governor General welcomed aboard by Commander N. Ravikant and members of the ship’s delegation. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and specially invited guests were also in attendance.

The engagement was facilitated by Honorary Consul to India, Vijay Tewani, whose continued efforts have played a key role in fostering closer ties between the two nations.

Discussions during the visit highlighted the longstanding friendship shared by Antigua and Barbuda and India, while reinforcing a mutual commitment to deeper cooperation in areas such as maritime engagement, cultural exchange, and international partnership.
