Police are searching for three armed men following a brazen daylight robbery at a home in Carty’s Hill on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, the incident occurred around 1 p.m. on May 28 when three masked intruders dressed in dark clothing allegedly entered the residence armed with handguns.
Investigators said the men robbed the occupant of a mobile phone, a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) system, and a safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash and several rounds of ammunition before fleeing the scene.
The robbery has sparked renewed concerns about home invasions and public safety, particularly following reports that the suspects were heavily disguised and armed.
Police have since launched an active investigation and are appealing to anyone with information that may help identify the perpetrators to come forward.
Members of the public are being asked to contact the Parham Police Station at 463-2060, the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914, or anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
In the wake of the incident, police are also encouraging residents to strengthen security measures around their homes. Authorities advised homeowners to ensure doors and windows are secured, install exterior lighting and surveillance cameras where possible, and avoid publicly sharing information about valuables or travel plans on social media.
The Police Administration said it remains committed to protecting life and property and urged residents to remain vigilant and work closely with law enforcement in preventing crime.
