As Antigua and Barbuda gears up for Carnival 2026, soca artiste Tizzy is making an early statement with the release of her latest EP, SOUL – FIRE – ROAD, a project packed with high-energy road music and a message that goes beyond the festivities.
The eight-track EP combines three songs previously released for Trinidad Carnival with four brand-new tracks aimed at capturing the spirit of the upcoming carnival season in Antigua and throughout the region.
Leading the new releases are Tribe of Fire, Meet We On De Road, We Alive, and Who Dey For We. While the first three songs are designed to fuel fetes and road marches with infectious rhythms and carnival energy, the fourth track offers a more reflective perspective.
Who Dey For We explores themes of loyalty, unity, and support, asking listeners to consider who remains by their side when life’s celebrations are over and challenges arise.
According to songwriter Glenroy “Zamba” Richards, the project was intentionally crafted to showcase different aspects of the human experience.
“Tizzy wanted this release to reflect every side of who we are as people,” Richards said. “Carnival is about joy, freedom, and togetherness, and these songs capture that spirit. But Who Dey For We reminds us that beyond the music and festivities, there are universal truths that connect us all.”
Known for her energetic performances and authentic Caribbean sound, Tizzy takes listeners on a journey through celebration, love, hope, resilience, and self-reflection while remaining rooted in the culture and traditions that define Caribbean carnival.
With Antigua Carnival fast approaching, anticipation is already building around the project, particularly for Meet We On De Road, Tribe of Fire, and We Alive, which are expected to become favourites among revellers throughout the season.
The EP is now available on all major streaming platforms, with fans also being promised a series of performances, promotional appearances, and new content in the weeks ahead.
