Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, Sir Rodney Williams, has paid tribute to the nation’s centenarians, describing them as living treasures whose wisdom, resilience, and experiences continue to inspire future generations.
In his message for Centenarians Week 2026, Sir Rodney reflected on the remarkable journeys of men and women who have lived through economic challenges, natural disasters, technological advancements, and Antigua and Barbuda’s transition from colonial rule to nationhood.
He noted that their stories of perseverance, faith, sacrifice, and service have helped shape the nation and serve as valuable lessons for younger generations.
