Trial Begins for Second Man Accused in Killing of Syrian National Roudi Shmaly

The murder trial of Jahciba Shoy, the second man accused in the killing of Syrian National Roudi Shmaly, has commenced in the High Court.

Shoy is facing charges of murder and aggravated robbery in connection with the fatal shooting of Shmaly during an incident at the Pick ’n Mix Mart on Desouza Road in May 2023.

The accused has remained on remand since his arrest and is being represented by attorney Wendel Alexander.

Further details are expected to emerge as the trial continues.
