No Industrial Park Planned Near Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Says Browne

16 June 2026 - 16:10

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has dismissed suggestions that the government is developing an industrial park near the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Responding to a question in Parliament on Tuesday, from Jamale Pringle, Member of Parliament for All Saints East and St Luke, Browne said the area in question consists of individual land allocations granted to private investors rather than a formally designated industrial park.

He cited businessman Craig White as one of the recipients of land in the area and noted that plans are underway for a hardware store development.

“It is not an industrial park per se,” Browne clarified.

The Prime Minister said various private-sector projects are expected to emerge on lands allocated within the vicinity.
