A cyclist was taken to hospital early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle along Factory Road.

The incident involved a blue Toyota Vitz and occurred during the early hours of the morning. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the impact threw the cyclist from his bicycle, leaving him injured on the roadway.

Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the injured man to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment. The extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed.

A video circulating on social media captures the aftermath of the collision, showing the cyclist being attended to before he was taken away by ambulance.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, and authorities are expected to determine what led to the accident.
