The St. John’s Rural South Youth Arm successfully hosted its inaugural Talent Takeover on Saturday, July 18, at Club Labour, bringing together a talented lineup of young performers for an evening of music, entertainment, and community engagement.

The competition featured eight contestants who showcased their vocal and performance abilities before an enthusiastic audience, with winners determined entirely by audience vote.

Emerging as the inaugural Talent Takeover Champion was Abigail Noel, whose powerful rendition of Adele’s One and Only earned her first place and the grand prize of $1,000. Ariel Royer claimed second place and $600 with her original song, Young and Reckless, while Jr. Alstar Braffer secured third place and $400 with an impressive performance of his original song, Samba.

The event also featured guest performances by Voltage Band, C4 Entertainment, and Antsness, adding to the night’s vibrant atmosphere.

The St. John’s Rural South Youth Arm extends sincere thanks to all contestants, performers, sponsors, volunteers, and patrons whose support made the event a success. Following the overwhelming response to the inaugural staging, the Youth Arm looks forward to making Talent Takeover an annual platform that celebrates and nurtures young talent across Antigua and Barbuda.
