JoJo Carlisle Dies Two Months After Sugar Ridge Resort Crash

A woman who suffered life-threatening injuries in a golf cart crash at Sugar Ridge Resort in May has died after spending nearly two months in critical condition.

JoJo Carlisle, 40, died on Tuesday following a prolonged battle to recover from the injuries she sustained in the May 22 collision.

The accident occurred on the grounds of Sugar Ridge Resort, where Carlisle was reportedly driving a golf cart when it was struck from behind by a car. The impact threw her from the cart, leaving her with serious head injuries and a punctured lung.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel responded to the scene and rushed her to hospital, where she remained in critical condition throughout her treatment.

As her condition remained grave, family and friends launched a GoFundMe campaign in an effort to raise approximately €200,000, more than EC$615,000, to transfer Carlisle to a specialist hospital in Poland for advanced medical care.

Following her death, the campaign has been updated and will now focus on providing financial support for the education and future of her children.

Carlisle’s passing has been met with an outpouring of grief from those who followed her story and supported the fundraising effort, with many expressing condolences to her family and remembering her determination throughout her fight for survival.
