Antigua and Barbuda is preparing for a historic Carnival celebration in 2027, with the annual summer festival set to mark its 70th anniversary.
Organisers have announced that Antigua Carnival 2027 will run from July 20 to August 3 under the theme “Legendary 70,” celebrating seven decades of culture, music, mas and Carnival traditions.
The milestone edition is expected to showcase the evolution of Antigua Carnival while paying tribute to the people, performers, musicians, mas makers and cultural icons who have contributed to the festival over the past 70 years.
Promoted as the “Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Festival,” Antigua Carnival traditionally attracts thousands of residents, returning nationals and visitors for a packed programme of competitions, fetes, pageants, concerts, J’ouvert and colourful street celebrations.
The 2027 staging is expected to take on added significance as the country reflects on Carnival’s rich history and its contribution to Antigua and Barbuda’s cultural identity.
With the dates now officially announced, Carnival lovers at home and abroad are being encouraged to save July 20 to August 3, 2027, for what organisers are promising will be a historic celebration of Antigua and Barbuda’s people, culture and Carnival spirit.

Hope it’s not the white woman over this again, cause this time it’s gonna be chaos.
