Missing Woman Shenett Jacobs
A large-scale multi-agency search operation was mounted on Monday afternoon as authorities, volunteers and family members intensified efforts to locate missing woman Shennett Jacobs, who had not been seen for more than a week.
The coordinated search, which began at 2 p.m., brought together officers from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, including its Canine and Drone Units, members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Drone Unit, representatives of Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, and dozens of volunteers, relatives and friends.
Jacobs was last seen on Saturday, July 25, in the Brown’s Bay/Nonsuch Bay area. Since her disappearance, family members and concerned citizens had continued searching while appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating her.
Search teams combed sections of the Brown’s Bay and Nonsuch Bay communities using drones, canine teams and ground searches in the hope of uncovering new leads. The operation formed part of ongoing efforts to determine Jacobs’ whereabouts after days of uncertainty.
Jacobs was described as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, brown in complexion, with black and grey hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a yellow construction helmet, a grey long-sleeved shirt, dark green trousers and grey Converse shoes.
Organisers also urged residents and businesses in the surrounding communities to remain vigilant and report anything that might assist investigators, stressing that even the smallest piece of information could prove valuable.
Anyone with information on Jacobs’ whereabouts was encouraged to contact her daughter at 729-2443, Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda at 764-1451 or 725-2270, or the nearest police station.
Despite the extensive search effort, Jacobs had not been located by the end of Monday’s operation, and family members remained hopeful that continued public support and fresh information would lead to her safe return.

From the first news of this, I felt my stomach tightened from this sad news. I truly pray and hope they find this lady.. c’mon folks, go out and try and find this lady. Thanks for the effort that’s put into this. Just sad.
Was she involved in the construction industry- engineering, architecture etc? ( The outfit seems to suggest that). If not, was she suffering from mental illness. We should not be afraid or ashamed to discuss openly if someone has mental illness either.
I am a bit puzzled at the information given out for this missing lady. The information did not even say where she was living or from. I am not trying to be inquisitive. Let me explain- If she was suffering with mental Illness it’s a different search than if she just gone missing. If she is not suffering from mental illness are we looking at criminal activities- abduction etc. I pray what ever the circumstances she is found unharmed.
I don’t know if I’m blind or dumb but Mr. Carter, I think the image should mostly suggest that she was a graduate at one point in her life. I don’t where you got engineering and architecture from.
