A community-driven search operation was launched this morning by the Concerned Citizens of Antigua and Barbuda to locate 21-year-old Thomas “Tommy” Vasquez, a Trinidadian national reported missing.
This initiative saw the involvement of a dedicated 12-member team from the Antigua and Barbuda Defense Force, which included specialized personnel from the drone unit.
The search party quickly mobilized, following up on a promising lead that emerged early in the day.
This lead, however, required additional support from law enforcement. Consequently, five officers from the Willikies Police Station, accompanied by an officer from the Parham area, joined the efforts of the community team to further investigate the lead.
The search team worked tirelessly, scouring areas where Thomas might have been sighted, with the aid of drone technology to cover more ground effectively.
The operation is set to continue tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9 AM, with the group gathering at the Willikies Police Station to launch another day of intensive searching as they remain hopeful for positive news regarding Thomas’s whereabouts.
The community is encouraged to stay vigilant and report any sightings or information related to the case.
Hope they find the young man. Too many young ppl are going missing and it is getting too frequent.
I hope you can find him safe
