Hopeful Hearts Foundation (HHF) has been appointed the official National Leader for Good Deeds Day in Antigua and Barbuda, giving the organization responsibility for coordinating the country’s participation in the global movement that promotes kindness, volunteerism and community service.

The appointment places Antigua and Barbuda among more than 115 countries across six continents that take part in Good Deeds Day each year, encouraging individuals, businesses, schools, governments and community organizations to improve their communities through acts of service.

As National Leader, Hopeful Hearts Foundation will work with government ministries, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, businesses, non-governmental organizations and volunteers to foster a nationwide culture of civic responsibility and volunteerism.

The movement continues to grow across the Caribbean under the leadership of Diane Felicien of Saint Lucia, the Caribbean Regional Leader for Good Deeds Day. Countries currently participating in the regional network include Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Aruba, with additional territories expressing interest in joining.

Hopeful Hearts Foundation said it plans to organize a wide range of community initiatives throughout the year to encourage public participation. Planned activities include environmental projects, community clean-up campaigns, school outreach programmes, youth leadership initiatives, volunteer recognition events, national days of service, kindness campaigns and collaborative projects aimed at creating lasting benefits for communities across the country.

The foundation will also promote the spirit of Pásalo Pa’lante – Billions Acts of Kindness and Pay It Forward, an initiative designed to inspire people to extend acts of kindness throughout their communities.

“We are honoured to be entrusted with leading Good Deeds Day in Antigua and Barbuda,” said Kristine Louisa, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hopeful Hearts Foundation.

“This appointment presents an incredible opportunity to unite our nation through kindness and volunteerism. We invite every citizen, organization, business, and institution to become part of this global movement and demonstrate that together we can create positive change in our communities.”

The foundation said it looks forward to collaborating with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, the private sector and civil society to establish Good Deeds Day as a national celebration of service while strengthening the country’s reputation as a leader in volunteerism and community engagement throughout the Caribbean.

Organizers say the initiative aims to demonstrate that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference by improving lives, strengthening communities and inspiring positive change.
